Gender Equality: RTU champions gender equality and inclusivity in all its programs and policies.
Women represent half of RTU’s population. The university’s inclusivity-focused policies and programs reflect its commitment to promoting equality in women’s empowerment, closing the gap involving societal representations of women, and establishing a norm unique to the university’s cultural philosophy. To ensure that a safe learning environment is sustained, an organized mechanism was tasked with resolving issues on decorum.
In celebration of Women’s Month, RTU hosted the webinar “Ligtas Ka Ba?” which focused on sexual and unlawful harassment prevention. This initiative educates students, faculty, and staff about their rights and responsibilities, fostering a safe and respectful university environment. In addition, RTU’s Gender Sensitivity Training further strengthens the institution’s commitment to equality by promoting awareness of gender biases and encouraging inclusive practices within the academic community. Through these programs, RTU aims to cultivate a culture of respect, empowerment, and equality, ensuring that all members of the university are treated with dignity and fairness. By addressing gender-related issues, RTU contributes to the broader movement toward eliminating discrimination and achieving gender equity in higher education and society.
