Rizalianos Participate in the 2025 PH-OGP National Women’s Month Forum

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Boncodin Hall, March 27, 2025 – Rizal Technological University (RTU) continues to participate in events aligned with the celebration of Women’s Month. The delegation was headed by Gender Studies and Development Office (GSDO) Director, Instr. Shereen Yanna B. Cadileña, along with RTU students and representatives. The forum, themed “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges: Women as Beacons of Open Governance,” emphasized that an open government thrives when we embrace inclusivity and amplify the voices of women in marginalized communities.

The event, organized by DBM, was graced by key personalities such as Director Atty. Ryan S. Lita, with forum and discussions led by Makati Business Club Projects and Grants Manager Geeta Keswani. The discussion featured inspiring and prominent female public servants, advocates, and changemakers, highlighting the transformative impact of women-led governance. The women leaders included PH-OGP Co-Chairperson Aurora R. Chavez, Public Services Labor Independent Confederation (PSLINK) President Dr. Annie Enriquez-Geron, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Chief-of-Staff Atty. Christine Faith R. Sabella, Samahan ng mga Pilipina para sa Reporma at Kaunlaran (SPARK) Philippines Inc. Executive Director Mikaela Luisa Carmen R. Teves, and Unang Hakbang Foundation President Maria Olivia C. Lucas. These women shared insights, inspiring stories, and engaged in open conversations with attendees during interactive sessions.

Sec. Amenah F. Pangandaman concluded the forum with her remarkable speech, stating that every woman has the power to drive change, lead communities, and make a difference, especially when they are empowered to do so. She also led the opening of the “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas” art exhibit, which showcases traditional and digital artworks featuring women as guiding lights that symbolize hope, integrity, and inclusivity.
RTU’s continuous participation in gender empowerment events demonstrates its strong commitment to promoting equality and inclusivity. This dedication proves that the university values and supports a fair and respectful community for everyone.
