RTU’s Special Board Meeting Charts a Course for Academic and Global Excellence

In another significant administrative feat of Rizal Technological University (RTU), a Special Board Meeting was convened on February 13, 2024, at the Commission on Higher Education, Diliman, Quezon City. The meeting, sponsored by the Board Chairman and CHED Commissioner, Dr. Ronald L. Adamat, was convened by the University President, Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, with Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA), serving as the resource person.

The meeting commenced with a thorough discussion on the candidates for graduation statistics for the 1st semester of the academic year 2023-24. Another critical focus of the meeting was on the budgetary requirements for the 11th PASUC-NCR Culture and Arts Festival. The board deliberated on the proposed budget, emphasizing the importance of allocating resources effectively to support the success of the upcoming cultural event.

Further enhancing RTU’s commitment to collaborations and partnerships, the board discussed two crucial Memorandums of Agreement. The first being the previously mentioned agreement between RTU and MoodLearning Inc., where the terms were thoroughly reviewed and confirmed by the board members. The second agreement pertained to the procurement of cloud-based hosting and related services for the RTU Learning Management System (LMS), signifying a strategic move towards enhancing the technological infrastructure supporting the institution’s academic framework.

Lastly, the meeting  shed light on RTU’s international engagement initiatives, with a specific focus on upcoming events. The RTU DRRM officers are set to participate in the 2nd Training Course on Localizing Disaster Risk Reduction for Anticipatory Action in Thailand from March 11-15. Additionally, the university will be represented at the 20th Annual CamTESOL Conference on English Language Teaching at the Institute Technology Cambodia from February 23-25.
