
Rizal Technological University (RTU) continues to invest in the professional growth of its faculty and staff through active participation in specialized training programs. Recently, members from the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and the College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA), and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) joined an intensive professional development session on “Attaining Work-Life Balance and Productivity.”
The training, organized by the Personnel Officers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (POAP), was held from July 9 to 12, 2024, at the Costa Palawan Resort in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Renowned for her expertise in institutional development and external affairs, Dr. Sheila I. Villanueva, Vice President for Institutional Development and External Affairs at the City of Malabon University, served as the resource speaker.
The RTU delegation included Instr. Arnel Chua, Instr. Ralph Michael Imperial, and Instr. Carlie Momongan, who represents the HRMO and CBEA, along with Dr. Jeremias Buraga, former Faculty Regent and current faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).
The four-day training program focused on enhancing personal and professional productivity while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Topics covered during the training included time management, enhancing productivity with technology, navigating work-life balance in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world, stress management and well-being, and building sustainable habits.
