Mr. Ibrahim Katirci, the Country Director of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), recently visited Rizal Technological University (RTU) to discuss potential collaborative projects, particularly focusing on the enhancement of sports facilities.
During his visit, Mr. Katirci met with key university officials including University President, Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco; Vice President for Research, Innovation, Extension, and Services (VPRIES), Dr. Magno Quendangan; Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA), Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia; Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAAS), Dr. Rodrigo Tomas; Student Development Unit (SDU) Officer-in-Charge Abed Varquez; and International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO) Director, Dir. Donato Estocada.
In addition to discussing potential facility improvements, Mr. Katirci visited RTU’s mushroom cultivation tunnel. Impressed by the project, he expressed interest in assisting RTU to maximize mushroom production, seeing it as an opportunity for sustainable development and increased productivity.
Mr. Katirci’s visit signals the beginning of a promising partnership between TIKA and RTU, aimed at fostering educational and infrastructural development within the university.
