May 06, 2024 -Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  Rizal Technological University (RTU) took another significant stride and solidified a partnership with Vietnam’s Saigon Business School (SBS), a prominent member of the prestigious EQuest Education Group based in Saigon.

The initiative has come to fruition through RTU’s International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO) Director, Mr. Donato Z. Estocada’s untiring effort to usher in the university’s bid to explore and widen its academic horizons.

The ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was concluded with SBS Managing Director, Prof. Hoang Van Cuong, and esteemed chief executive assistant, Assoc. Prof. Mary Anne S. Rubio representing on behalf of RTU’s university president, Dr. Ma Eugenia M. Yangco, significantly underscoring the dynamism that RTU seeks to enrich its academic ecosystem.

During the ceremony, Ms. Rubio pointed out that “this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between RTU and SBS outlines a framework for cooperation across various domains, including academic exchanges, research initiatives, and personnel development programs. Through these endeavors, we aim to cultivate a deeper understanding between our institutions and foster meaningful connections that transcend borders.”

This international cooperation also carries out exchange and internship programs where learning, sharing, and understanding both countries’ diverse cultural heritage enhances each institution’s academic excellence. Also, bridging relationships with industry partners for holistic development of both students and faculty, thereby creating long-lasting connections and friendships.

With the agreement sealed, RTU’s educational route of going global has opened in this part of the world, and opportunities to vie for more future engagements and collaboration not only with universities from Asia but also with other schools globally have become relatively promising.
