Rizal Technological University played host to the Philippine Higher Education Research Consortium-Manila, Inc (PHERC) Strategic Planning Workshop on February 8, 2024. The event, held at the university’s premises, proved to be an ideal setting for fostering collaboration, facilitating learning, and promoting growth within the consortium.

The day kicked off with Dr. Rodante G. Flores, the President of PHERC, who delivered his Welcome Remarks and outlined the purpose of the workshop. Emphasizing the significance of strategic planning, Dr. Flores set the stage for a day of constructive discussions and planning.

Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, President of Rizal Technological University, shared a message highlighting the university’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to the advancement of higher education research.

The main agenda of the day centered around the 2nd PHERC Regular Meeting and the Strategic Planning Workshop. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on various aspects. The workshop aimed to  chart a course for the consortium’s future endeavors and enhance its effectiveness in addressing the evolving needs of higher education in the Philippines.

As the day came to a close, Assistant Professor Cherry Pebre, Vice President Internal of PHERC, delivered the Closing Remarks. Expressing gratitude for the active participation of attendees, Prof. Pebre reinforced the importance of a collaborative and strategic approach in shaping the future of higher education research.
