RTU ExeCom Gathers to Address Key Agendas in 1st Quarter Meeting

In another significant assembly, the Executive Committee (ExeCom) of Rizal Technological University (RTU) convened last February 26, 2024, at the Office of the University President. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, the University President, brought together all Vice Presidents namely; Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, VP for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA); Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, VP for Finance and Administration (VPFA); Dr. Magno M. Quendangan VP for Research, Innovation and Extension Services (VPRIES), and Dr. Salvacion J. Pachejo, VP for Planning, Quality Assurance, and Strategic Initiatives (VPPQASI). RTU Pasig Chancellor, Dr. Corazon D. Austria, and several directors also joined the meeting.

One of the primary agenda items discussed was RTU’s hosting of the PASUC NCR Culture and Arts Festival. Director Julian Santos, from the University Cultural Affairs Office, presented detailed plans, covering logistical aspects and highlighting the university’s commitment to showcasing cultural excellence.

With the presentation of Dr. Pachejo, the committee delved into discussions on SUC Leveling. This agenda aimed to ensure alignment with strategic goals and uphold quality benchmarks in the pursuit of academic excellence.

Updates on RTU’s CHED Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) status were presented by Dr. Edna P. Conwi, Director of the Quality Assurance Office. The discussion emphasized the university’s commitment to upholding the quality standards set by the Commission on Higher Education.

Addressing infrastructures and administrative development, Engr. Niño Curpos, Director of the Project Management Office, and Dr. Ducut, provided insights into ongoing projects and initiatives. These efforts are geared toward enhancing the university’s physical and administrative capacities.

The 1st Quarter Executive Committee meeting highlighted RTU’s dedication to strategic planning, quality assurance, and comprehensive development. The collaborative expertise of committee members, under the leadership of Dr. Yangco, positions RTU for sustained excellence in the academic landscape.
