May 17, 2024 – Rizal Technological University (RTU) successfully concluded the Accreditation Survey Visit for Level III Phase 2 of its six graduate programs. The survey, conducted via a hybrid setup, was overseen by Dr. Elsa P. Manarpaac of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). Dr. Manarpaac, the overall coordinator, praised RTU for its progress and commitment to excellence.
During the closing program, several key representatives of RTU expressed their dedication to maintaining high educational standards. Assoc. Prof. Lorena Halili, standing in for Dr. Rodrigo DP. Tomas, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, along with Dr. Wendelyn A. Samarita, Dean of the College of Education, and Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, Dean of the College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy, delivered heartfelt statements emphasizing RTU’s mission to inspire students to harness opportunities for societal advancement.
University President Dr. Yangco reaffirmed RTU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, emphasizing the university’s dedication to maintaining and surpassing educational standards. During her address, Dr. Yangco expressed profound gratitude to the accreditation team for their meticulous efforts and valuable contributions, acknowledging their role in steering RTU toward realizing its mission and vision. She highlighted the importance of their expertise and dedication in ensuring that RTU continues to provide top-quality education, which is fundamental to the institution’s goal of fostering student success and societal advancement.
The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates, celebrating the hardwork and dedication of all involved. This was followed by closing remarks from Dr. Salvacion Pachejo, Vice President for Planning, Quality Assurance, and Strategic Initiative (VPPQASI), who highlighted the collective achievements of RTU’s faculty and administration. Dr. Pachejo emphasized the significance of their collaborative efforts in reaching this milestone, acknowledging the persistent commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
RTU’s rigorous accreditation process underscores its educators’ and administration’s dedication to providing high-quality education and continuously improving graduate programs and services.
