RTU and UP Manila formalize partnership for Disaster Risk Reduction Management Initiatives

September 22- Rizal Technological University (RTU) and the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila formalize a collaboration for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) initiatives through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing event, held at the UP Manila DRRM-H Office. The said collaboration aims to develop and support cooperation on documentation, capacity building, and innovation on DRRM-related issues.

The partnership leads to programs such as capacity-building exercises to identify gaps in disaster response as well as the possibilities of sharing of technologies, and best practices. This collaboration was made possible through the initiative of the RTU DRRM Office, under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Emmanuel L. Taruc, and the OVPFA.
