PUBLIC AFFAIRS GROUP UNDERGOES DIGITAL COMPETENCIES TRAINING 

The Rizal Technological University’s Public Affairs Office (UPAO) underwent an in-house capacity-building program titled “Strengthening Digital Competencies for Effective Public Engagement” held at the University UPAO Headquarters on May 27, 2024.

The training aimed to enhance the team’s digital skills for more effective public engagement. The training covered a session in graphic design featuring the basics and its principles, followed by hands-on practice on creating publication materials, and was led by Instr. Gerald V. Daguplo. The training also covered website design and administration, led by Instr. Kyle Nicole F. Alcantara. He shared his expertise in website administration and discussed the fundamentals of website design, including the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), which greatly affect the overall navigation of the end user to a website.

The in-house training program showed RTU UPAO’s proactive attitude towards continuous improvement alongside technology in this digital age. Investing in strengthening the digital skills of its members demonstrates its commitment to excellence and dedication to delivering accessible, relevant, and engaging public information material through the use of technology and graphics, reinforcing its role as a bridge between the university and the community.
