Privacy Management Seminar held, fostering Data Responsibility

The RTU University Data Privacy Center (UDPC), headed by its director, Dr. Lea S. Nisperos, hosted a ‘Privacy Management Seminar’ on September 27, which brought together the members of the RTU to delve into the critical aspects of protecting personal data.

A distinguished speaker from the National Privacy Commission (NPC), Legal Assistant II, Ms. Jobelle R. Amboy, graced the seminar. Focusing on the various aspects of privacy management, Ms. Amboy shed light on the intricacies of data privacy laws, emphasizing the importance of privacy management programs, program control, organizational commitment, and accountability and compliance frameworks.
The seminar equipped the RTU community with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexity of privacy management. The event also helped strengthen the commitment of participants to foster a culture of privacy awareness and data responsibility.
