National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) students from Taiwan Joined RTU’s Entrepreneurship Students at the NKUSTARTUP: Entrepreneurship Bootcamp”

The National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) students participated in the NKUSTARTUP: Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at Rizal Technological University (RTU) from July 10 to 13, 2023. The opening program was impressive, featuring cultural performances from RTU Rondalla , Kultura Rizalia and Himig Rizalia of the University Center for Culture, Events, and Arts.

The boot camp was a collaborative effort between the University Center for International Linkages and External Affairs and the Entrepreneurship Department. Dr. Kathryn D. Tria, the Dean of the College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy, along with Dr. Julies L. Meneses, VPRIES (Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services), Dr. Marc DG. Garvida, VPAA (Vice President for Academic Affairs), and Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, the UCILEA Director, showed their support for the program.

 

Furthermore, the boot camp received cooperation from the Wadhwani Foundation through their Regional Director for South Asia and East Asia (SAE), Mr. Cris Delgado. Additionally, the initiative of Mr. Peithe Salva from NKUST, Taiwan, played a significant role in making the event possible.

 

Mr. Donato Z. Estocada, the Head of the BS Entrepreneurship Department, took the lead in spearheading the program, ensuring its success.

At least forty four(44) students from NKUST  and twenty(20) students from  RTU joined the boot camp.

 

The efforts of all involved resulted in a highly successful event. Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, the President of RTU, expressed her congratulations to the team for their achievements and looks forward to more collaborations like this in the future. Such events and collaborations are crucial for fostering entrepreneurship and promoting international linkages between universities, providing students with valuable experiences and opportunities.
