Rizal Technological University’s BS Entrepreneurship students took center stage at the Philippine Trade Training Center’s (PTTC) 37th Founding Anniversary celebration, advocating for “Forging Global Futures” alongside a diverse lineup of industry leaders and innovators.

In a resounding display of commitment to fostering global entrepreneurship, the students made waves at the prestigious PTTC anniversary event. The occasion served as a platform for discussions, workshops, and collaborations aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape.

The event kicked off with Executive Director Nelly Nita N. Dillera setting the tone for global empowerment, emphasizing the pivotal role of MSMEs in driving economic growth and innovation. Following suit, Usec. Rafaelita M. Aldaba from the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Competitiveness and Innovation Group underscored the importance of innovation and competitiveness in charting the path forward for MSMEs.

Keynote speaker Secretary Alfredo E. Pascual of DTI further highlighted the significance of MSMEs as a key driver for economic growth, inspiring attendees with insights into fostering a conducive environment for entrepreneurial success.

In the afternoon session, the spotlight shifted to youth entrepreneurship with a workshop titled “Giving Rise to Enterprise” led by Professor Melchor C. Morandarte. Against the backdrop of PTTC’s bustling lobby, aspiring entrepreneurs from RTU actively participated, exchanging ideas and strategies to catalyze their ventures.

Under the adept guidance of their department head, Instr. Cyrille Anne A. Rafael, and supported by faculty members namely Instr. Donato Estocada, and Instr. Angelica Ombao, the RTU contingent emerged as the largest delegation, making their presence felt throughout the event.

With their enthusiastic participation and unwavering commitment to entrepreneurship, they (RTU BS Entrepreneurship) have demonstrated their readiness to take on the challenges of the global business landscape, solidifying their place as trailblazers in the journey towards MSME excellence and innovation.
