1st Quarter Board FinCom Meeting Addresses Important University Affairs

The Board Finance Committee (FinCom) held its 1st Quarter Meeting on March 25, 2024, at the RTU Office of the President’s Conference Room, chaired by Director Florante Igtiben of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). The committee tackled various vital agenda items for the institution’s financial and operational framework.

Attendees included Regents Dr. Jeremias Buraga, Atty. Bryan Barte, Mr. Miggy Abangan, DOST-NCR Regional Director Romelyn Tresvalles, Mr. Noel Vicencio, Mr. Danny Carnay, Engr. Conrad Anciado, along with University Officials Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, University President, and Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA). 

Key agenda highlights included matters such as government circulars, confirmation of administrative documents, review and endorsement of procurement projects, approval of international engagement plans, and finalization of student welfare policies. 

Additionally, discussions centered on budget allocation for cultural and academic events, amendments to procurement plans, and review of policies supporting student-athletes. 

The meeting concluded with a comprehensive review and endorsement of key financial and operational matters crucial to RTU’s mission and objectives.
