Honoring the people behind Rizal Technological University’s (RTU) successful extension programs, the Extension and Community Services Office (ECSO) awarded select extension partners and Rizaliano administrative personnel with the ECSOrdinary Award: Honoring Ordinary People with Extraordinary Extension Services during the flag-raising ceremony on June 22, 2026.

The awardees were partners and university personnel who continue to support the University’s extension initiatives through diligent, behind-the-scenes administrative tasks and services, recognizing their extraordinary dedication to the institution’s extension programs.

Despite being away from the spotlight in implementing every extension service, the awardees were considered the backbone of RTU’s continually growing efforts to contribute to community development. Their work remains essential to ensuring that plans and implementations of extension programs and projects are effective, government-compliant, and duly processed in accordance with existing standards and policies.

The awarding served as a reminder for all Rizalianos that the success of every extension program relies on the active participation and support of the whole community, including the university’s partners and administrative personnel. Pandayang Rizalia continues to recognize the awardees’ dedication and service, which continue to inspire the entire Rizaliano community for the benefit of society.

The ECSOrdinary Awards became one of the highlights of the flag-raising ceremony, being a simple yet meaningful way of expressing the University’s gratitude to the people whose hard work and dedication continue to create positive differences in every extension project.
