June 15, 2024—In a notable event held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), CCP Complex, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City, Rizal Technological University (RTU) once again affirmed its commitment to academic and professional excellence. RTU President, Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, together with the College of Engineering (CEng) Dean, Dr. Corleto R. Bravo, were honored guests at the oath-taking ceremony for new professional electrical engineers, registered electrical engineers, and registered master electricians. This event was hosted by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Electrical Engineering in cooperation with the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc.
The oath-taking ceremony was particularly noteworthy for RTU, as the university was awarded a certificate of recognition for its outstanding performance in the April 2024 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination. RTU achieved the tenth (10th) place rank among institutions with 50 or more examinees, with a passing percentage of 80.13%. Out of 151 candidates from RTU, 121 successfully passed the examination, exemplifying the university’s dedication to providing high-quality education and rigorous training.
The ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the newly licensed professionals but also highlighted RTU’s important role in their success. It brought together luminaries from industry and academia, all sharing a common goal of advancing the field of electrical engineering in the Philippines.
