The Rizal Technological University (RTU), through its International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), has partnered with ReSkills to promote upskilling and lifelong learning among students and faculty members. This collaboration was formally launched through a seminar titled ReSkills: ReSkilling, UpSkilling, and Lifelong Learning – “Upgrade Your Skills, Upgrade Your Future”, held on April 24, 2025, at the RTU Mandaluyong Main Campus.
The event opened with warm and encouraging remarks from Mr. Donato Z. Estocada, Director of IALO. It was followed by a program led by ReSkills Chief Activation Officer, Ms. Yen Lee, and Partnership Manager, Mr. CD Lee. They introduced ReSkills as a Malaysian-based, subscription-based global online learning platform that provides unlimited access to high-quality classes, videos, and other educational materials. These resources are globally accredited and offer micro-certifications focusing on personal growth, digital and technological skills, and business entrepreneurship. ReSkills brands itself as a “buffet-style” learning platform where users can “learn all you can,” anytime and anywhere.
During the session, Ms. Lee and Mr. Lee highlighted how the platform can be especially beneficial to students currently undergoing their internship programs at RTU. Additionally, the platform offers significant opportunities for faculty members, who can also explore the platform, earn certifications, and enhance their professional credentials.
The seminar concluded with inspiring closing remarks from Mr. Michael Ivan P. Mendiola, Head of International Mobility at IALO, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and global competitiveness.
This partnership underscores RTU’s ongoing commitment to the personal and professional development of its students and faculty, further strengthening its role as a catalyst for innovation and lifelong learning.
