The Rizal Technological University (RTU) High School Alumni Association (RTU-HSAA) for 2023–2025 showcased their unwavering commitment to giving back by donating valuable equipment and facilities to the Laboratory High School (LHS). In a heartwarming gesture of generosity, the association donated 20 brand-new tents, three drinking fountains, and a large parachute tent to benefit the school community.  

The ceremonial turnover of these donations was held on December 16, 2024, during the Flag Raising Ceremony at the University Quadrangle. The event was attended by esteemed university officials, alumni leaders, and members of the LHS community.  

The donations were formally received by RTU President Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, along with other key university leaders: Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA); Dr. Salvacion J. Pachejo, Vice President for Quality Assurance and Strategic Initiatives (VPQASI); and Dr. Milany Averilla, Principal of the Laboratory High School. Representing the RTU High School Alumni Association were President Reynaldo M. Rosas, Corporate Secretary Ruth D. Avena, Corporate Treasurer Oliva S. Cabaluna, and Auditor Irma C. Ambulo.  

This meaningful contribution underscores the spirit of solidarity and generosity among Rizalianos—a reflection of their shared mission to uplift future generations of learners. The donation not only enhances the LHS’s facilities but also serves as a testament to the enduring bond between the university and its alumni.  

Through initiatives like this, the RTU High School Alumni Association continues to uphold the university’s legacy of unity, generosity, and excellence, setting an inspiring example for current students and the broader community. This donation will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the school and the students it serves, ensuring a brighter and more supported future for Laboratory High School.
