The university promotes safe, clean, and hygienic water facilities for the community. A hand-washing area was set up at the campus entrance for students, clients, and employees who wish to sanitize before entering the campus. Regular water testing is also being practiced to ensure that the entire water system of the university is safe and clean.

This program promotes environmental stewardship by encouraging students, faculty, and staff to take responsibility for maintaining clean and hygienic spaces across the campus. By instilling the habit of cleaning up after oneself, “Clay Go” fosters a culture of cleanliness, reducing waste accumulation and preventing contamination of water sources. The initiative also raises awareness about the importance of proper sanitation in ensuring a healthy learning environment. Through such efforts, RTU demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and public health, highlighting the essential role of individual responsibility in achieving long-term environmental goals, including clean water and effective sanitation systems.

The university also participated in off-campus programs like coastal clean-up and waste disposal projects of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMBC). Collaborative initiatives to protect the environment ensure the health of Earth for future generations.

This initiative not only enhances the campus’s physical environment but also supports global efforts to promote cleaner, safer, and more sustainable communities.
