Rizal Technological University (RTU) strengthened its commitment to advancing research and development by participating in the 2024 RDLead Conference and Year-End Assembly hosted by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) on December 9, 2024, at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.

Representing RTU at the event were Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, University President, and Dr. Magno M. Quendangan, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (VPRIES). The RTU executives’ presence at the conference reaffirms the university’s steadfast commitment to research excellence and its active engagement in national development programs.

Themed “Revitalizing the Fire Within,” the conference gathered key leaders and stakeholders from the R&D sector to share insights and strategies for driving progress in science and technology. Highlights of the event included an inspirational message from DOST Secretary Dr. Renato U. Solidum and a conference talk by Dr. Zubaida U. Basiao, RD Leader for Mindanao State University (MSU) Marawi. 

The 2024 RDLead Conference and Year-End Assembly, concluded with a message from NRCP Executive Director Dr. Bernardo N. Sepeda. The assembly further strengthened partnerships and celebrated the achievements of the RDLead program, igniting a shared passion for shaping a brighter future through science and technology.
