RTU-CBEA Conducts First Phase of Faculty Capacity Building Program: Empowering Excellence in Business Education

September 30, 2024, at SNAGAH Penthouse, RTU Main Campus, The Rizal Technological University – College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (RTU-CBEA), led by College Dean Dr. Katryn D. Tria, successfully launched the first phase of its Faculty Capacity Building Program on September 30, 2024. Themed “Empowering Excellence: Fostering Innovation and Leadership in Business Education,” the seminar focused on enhancing the teaching practices of CBEA faculty members.

Asst. Prof. Emmanuelle A. Santiago, Head of RTU’s Counselling and Assessment Services Unit, served as the guest speaker. She provided valuable insights into classroom management and strategies for fostering academic growth. Prof. Santiago’s expertise helped equip faculty members with ideas on identifying teaching challenges while enhancing student support.

The event was graced by Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, Vice President for Academic and Student Services; and Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, Vice President for Finance and Administration and Program Chair of the MBA Program.

The afternoon session brought together members of the CBEA Faculty Association for an election to appoint a new set of officers. Prof. Alexander Cortez, from the BSBA Operations Management program, was elected as the new President of the CBEA Faculty Club.

The gathering serves as the beginning of a learning series aimed at empowering RTU-CBEA faculty to excel in teaching and leadership, ensuring the university maintains its leadership in innovative business education. Faculty members expressed excitement for future sessions, seeing this initiative as critical to advancing their professional skills and enriching the student experience.
