Rizal Technological University (RTU) once again solidified its commitment to educational innovation by participating in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony for Project LakbAI: A Generative AI Journey for the Filipino Youth on December 10, 2024, at Nemesio Yabut Elementary School. This strategic alliance with Techedify highlights the shared goal of integrating advanced generative AI tools into the educational landscape.

The program began with an inspiring welcome address from Dr. Rozalie A. Trangco, Chief Education Supervisor of the SGOD Department of Education-Makati. Following her remarks, esteemed partners and guests were formally recognized, culminating in the MOU signing. The agreement was endorsed by Dr. Ma. Evalou Concepcion A. Agustin, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd-Makati; Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, President of RTU; and Ms. Sharlyn P. Sanclaria, Product Department Director of Techedify.

A highlight of the event was the keynote speech delivered by Academician Fortunato De la Peña, ST3P Program Officer of RTU. Titled Harnessing AI for Educational Transformation and National Development, his message explored the transformative role of artificial intelligence in fostering innovation and growth. Complementing this discussion, Mr. Samuel P. Sanclaria provided a comprehensive demonstration of the AI tools included in Project LakbAI, showcasing their practical applications and potential impact on learning outcomes.

This event stands as a testament to RTU’s dedication to advancing technology-driven education and building meaningful partnerships. Through Project LakbAI, RTU and Techedify aim to empower Filipino youth with the skills and opportunities needed to excel in a rapidly evolving digital age.
