RTU and MMTVTC Collabs for Another Run of Program to Empower Skilled Workers

In a significant effort to bridge the gap between academia and the community, Rizal Technological University (RTU), in partnership with the Mandaluyong Manpower and Technical-Vocational Training Center (MMTVTC), successfully conducted an extension program on September 6, 2024. The program, spearheaded by RTU’s College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA), aims to equip individuals with critical business knowledge and skills through its “Community Business Education and Application Module” (CBEA of CBEA).

The program addresses essential business topics including Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Office Administration, Financial Management, and Accountancy. Designed to empower participants with practical entrepreneurial and business skills, the module includes specialized lectures from RTU CBEA faculty, who are experts in their respective fields. This approach ensures that participants not only receive theoretical knowledge but also gain insights into real-world applications.

The collaborative effort is expected to have a positive socio-economic impact on the participants and the community as a whole, helping foster sustainable development and growth.

The initiative was organized by Instr. Abigail P. Mendoza, and Instr. John Paul T. Sison, both CBEA Extension Coordinators, and Asst. Prof. Macrina Violeta V. Mutuc, CPA, Director of the University Internal Audit Services Office. The program was supported by Instr. Ricardo H. Momongan, Director of RTU’s Extension and Community Services Office (ECSO), and Ms. Gemma Acer, ECSO staff.

From the MMTVTC side, the project was led by Ms. Maria Majella G. Tampinco, Head Administrator; Ms. Marjorie D. Guillarte, Student Services and Scholarship Coordinator; and Ms. Marilou P. Rizaldo, Senior Manpower Development Officer.

The extension program marks another success in RTU and MMTVTC’s ongoing efforts to foster community engagement and provide educational opportunities that directly address the needs of local residents.
