The Rizal Technological University (RTU) International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), in partnership with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF), welcomed the 2025 campus tour that featured a series of engaging cultural exchange activities.
Held at the RTU Main Campus, the event opened with inspiring remarks from Instr. Donato Z. Estocada, Director of IALO. This was followed by vibrant cultural performances, starting with the Bituin Dance Team, a showcase of Taekwondo, and a graceful fan dance. The audience was then captivated by a stirring violin performance that added a touch of classical elegance to the program.
The event’s highlight was the Mind Education session delivered by Mr. Jeong Woo Lee, CEO of Indicellbio. His talk, “The Management Mindset of a Successful Leader,” emphasized the importance of gaining wisdom from mentors and how our thoughts can be powerful drivers of transformation. He shared that a cultivated mindset—shaped by learning and self-reflection—can better navigate life’s challenges. Mr. Lee encouraged attendees to not only seek mentors but also be mentors themselves, and to reflect deeply, becoming their own source of growth and insight.
A “mind recreation” activity also engaged both students and employees, encouraging them to form new connections and promote camaraderie through interactive experiences.
This cultural exchange event reflects RTU’s commitment to diversity and international collaboration—a vital step toward realizing its vision of becoming a truly transnational university. By opening its doors to global partners like the International Youth Fellowship, RTU fosters a learning environment beyond academic boundaries. Events like this serve as platforms for students, faculty, and staff to experience different cultures firsthand, develop global mindsets, and engage in meaningful conversations about leadership, mental wellness, and cultural understanding.
It also strengthens RTU’s international profile by building long-term relationships with global organizations, enriching its academic community with fresh perspectives and dynamic experiences. As the university continues to embrace programs that connect the local with the global, it empowers its community to become more adaptive, inclusive, and globally competitive. The success of this event is a testament to RTU’s proactive efforts to not only broaden educational horizons but also to instill values of empathy, mutual respect, and global citizenship—hallmarks of a university striving to make its mark on the international stage.
