Pandayang Rizalia Strengthens Strategic International Educational Advancement w/ SEGi University and ReSkills Malaysia

On March 04, 2025, the RTU Office of Students and Alumni Affairs (OSAAS), under the leadership of its Dean, Dr. Rodrigo Tomas, embarked on a transformative international journey to SEGi University and ReSkills in Malaysia.

Accompanied by OSAAS Asst. Dean Instr. Emeraldo Sabit, the delegation comprised key academic leaders, including Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs (VCASA) Dr. Kristoffer Morada, Instr. Donato Estocado, Director of the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), Asst. Prof. Emmanuelle Santiago from the Counselling and Assessment Unit (CASU), Instr. Mariel Dela Trinidad from the Students and Alumni Services Unit (SAASU), and Instr. Bobby Cauilan from the Library Management and Services Unit (LMSU).

This essential visit represents a significant milestone in RTU’s global educational strategy, aimed at expanding institutional horizons and creating comprehensive international opportunities. The delegation seeks to develop collaborative research initiatives and benchmark academic and library management best practices.

The meeting between RTU’s delegation and ReSkills bore exciting fruit as the global online learning platform has renewed its partnership with the university, along with a plan to launch a subscription corner in our library. The education technology company, through its Chief Activation Officer Yen Lee, further expressed its interest in conducting exciting and educational activities for Rizalianos in the near future.

The visit to SEGi University was just as productive as the delegation was able to explore partnership and collaboration opportunities through a benchmarking tour which aims to strengthen the Centers of Development of both the College of Education (CEd) and the Psychology Department of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).

By engaging directly with SEGi University and ReSkills, RTU is strategically positioning itself to enhance international learning experiences, foster cross-cultural academic partnerships, and provide unprecedented growth opportunities for its students and faculty.
