Rizal Technological University (RTU) proudly celebrates the recognition of Assoc. Prof. Donato Z. Estocada, Director of the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO) and Deputy Commander of the Climate Change Task Force (CCTF), as one of the recipients of the prestigious Climate Hero Award during the 2026 Climate Change Task Force Command Conference held at RTU.
The award was conferred in recognition of Assoc. Prof. Estocada’s outstanding leadership, commitment, and unwavering advocacy in advancing climate action, sustainability initiatives, and environmental responsibility. His dedication to strengthening collaboration among academic institutions, government agencies, and communities has significantly advanced meaningful climate resilience efforts.
Themed “Strengthening CCTF Nationwide: Expanding Leadership, Membership, and Climate Action Capacity,” the 2026 Climate Change Task Force Command Conference gathered climate advocates, leaders, and stakeholders committed to building a stronger national movement toward sustainable development and climate preparedness.
As Deputy Commander of the Climate Change Task Force, Assoc. Prof. Estocada has been instrumental in supporting initiatives that promote climate awareness, capacity-building programs, and institutional partnerships to address environmental challenges. His leadership reflects the importance of collaboration and innovation in developing solutions that address the impacts of climate change.
The recognition also highlights his role in advancing RTU’s commitment to sustainability, aligned with the University’s vision of becoming a globally connected institution that contributes to sustainable and resilient communities.
