On September 30, in conjunction with the program for “Tayukan: Seremonya ng Pagtatalaga at Pagtanggap ng Karunungan, Teknolohiya, at Kaunlaran”, the Municipality of Paluan, Province of Occidental Mindoro, proposed a resolution to its Sangguniang Bayan, thanking Rizal Technological University (RTU) and University President Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco for their steadfast support for community development benefiting Paluanons.
Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 2026-09-18 formally expresses gratitude and commendation to RTU and its President, Dr. Yangco, for the University’s unwavering support, invaluable extension services, and continued commitment to the socio-economic and institutional development of the Municipality of Paluan.
The resolution recognizes RTU’s contributions in extending its academic expertise, technical knowledge, and institutional resources to support the municipality’s various development initiatives. Through its extension programs and collaborative engagements, RTU has contributed to capacity building, knowledge and technology transfer, organizational development, and the strengthening of community-based initiatives in Paluan.
The Sangguniang Bayan of Paluan responded positively to the proposal and adopted a resolution recognizing the institutional partnership between RTU and the Municipal Government of Paluan. The resolution’s adoption highlights the importance of institutional collaboration, data-driven organizational development, and university-led extension services in advancing the municipality’s development initiatives.
The commendation extended to Dr. Yangco likewise recognizes her leadership and the University’s continuing commitment to meaningful community engagement. The partnership demonstrates how higher education institutions can work collaboratively with local government units to translate knowledge and expertise into programs and services that respond to real community needs.
The resolution further affirms RTU and the Municipality of Paluan’s shared commitment to the principle of “Mula sa Komunidad, Para sa Komunidad,” where knowledge, expertise, and resources are brought closer to the community to create meaningful and sustainable development outcomes.
