The University Administrative and Finance Council (UAFCo) held its 2nd Quarter Regular Meeting on June 25, 2024, at the Blue Room of the R&D Building, Rizal Technological University (RTU) Main Campus. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, University President, and presided over by Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, UAFCo Co-Chair and Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA). Other university officials such as the vice presidents and directors across different divisions joined the meeting.

The council reviewed and approved several key agenda items such as the Five-Year Strategic Plan for 2024-2028, which outlines the university’s development initiatives. Additionally, the proposed Library manual, detailing the university library’s policies and services, was discussed.

The council also examined and approved the RTU Implementing Guidelines for the Tulong Dunong Program for State Universities and Colleges (TDP-SUC) of the Commission on Higher Education, ensuring they met national standards.

The council considered and approved the renaming of the Research Ethics Review and Journal Publication Unit (RERJPU) to the Research Publication Unit (RPU) to better reflect its focus on research publications.

In addition to these agenda items, the revised organizational chart of the Extension and Community Services Office (ECSO) was presented and approved. The updated chart aims to enhance the office’s efficiency and community engagement by clearly defining roles and responsibilities within the ECSO.

These decisions are expected to significantly impact the strategic and operational direction of the university.
