Demonstrating innovation, resilience, and strategic thinking on the national stage, Team AgriTagumpay—composed of Marketing Management students Ms. Charm E. Pablo and Ms. Mariane Mekaela Grace G. Flores- earned a place among the elite semifinalists of the Youth Leaders Agribusiness Congress (YLAC) 2026: Intercollegiate Business Case Competition, organized by the UP Los Baños Agribusiness Society. Guiding the team throughout their competition journey was their coach, Mr. Arvin D. De Dios, whose mentorship and support helped prepare the students for the rigorous challenges of the national competition.
Bannered by the theme “BINHI: Breakthrough Ideas Nurturing Holistic Impacts,” the competition brought together outstanding student leaders and aspiring business professionals from colleges and universities across the Philippines. Through a rigorous screening process, Team AgriTagumpay emerged as one of only 15 teams nationwide selected to advance to the semifinal round, securing an invitation to compete and present their solutions face-to-face at the University of the Philippines Los Baños on June 5–6, 2026. The semifinal competition challenged participants to apply their knowledge and creativity under intense pressure. Teams were presented with an entirely new business case and given only two hours to analyze complex issues, formulate innovative and sustainable solutions, and prepare a professional presentation. The challenge tested not only technical and business competencies but also adaptability, teamwork, critical thinking, and the ability to make strategic decisions within a limited timeframe.
Competing against some of the most promising student innovators from across the country, Team AgriTagumpay delivered a commendable performance that showcased their analytical capabilities, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. Although only five teams advanced to the Grand Finals, their successful journey to the national semifinals stands as a significant accomplishment in one of the country’s premier agribusiness case competitions.
More than a competition, YLAC 2026 served as a platform for young leaders to develop solutions to real-world challenges facing the agribusiness sector. Through their participation, Team AgriTagumpay demonstrated the power of innovation, collaboration, and perseverance—qualities that continue to shape the next generation of agribusiness leaders and changemakers in the Philippines.
