March 3, 2025 – Malaysia. Officials from the Rizal Technological University (RTU) Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAAS) undertook an international benchmarking visit to INTI International University & Colleges in Malaysia. The visit aimed to enhance student services at RTU through knowledge exchange and best practice sharing with INTI’s student affairs counterparts.
The RTU delegation was composed of key officials, including Dr. Rodrigo D.P. Tomas, OSAAS Dean; and Dr. Kristoffer M. Morada, Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs (VCASA) for Pasig Branch, Instr. Bobby D. Cauilan, Head of the Library Management and Services Unit; Asst. Prof. Emmanuelle A. Santiago, Head of the Counselling and Assessment Services Unit; Instr. Mariel A. Dela Trinidad, Head of the Students and Alumni Services Unit; Instr. Donato Z. Estocada, Director of the International Affairs and Linkages Office; Instr. Emeraldo A. Sabit, Jr., OSAAS Associate Dean.
The delegation was warmly received by AP. Ts. Dr. Choo Wou Onn, Director of the International Relations and Collaborations Centre (IRCC) at INTI. The day’s itinerary included a comprehensive campus tour, an introduction to INTI International University & Colleges, and an extensive benchmarking session focusing on student affairs, counselling services, and library management.
This international visit emphasizes RTU’s commitment to strengthening student support services by adopting global best practices. Through this initiative, the university seeks to enhance its academic and student welfare programs, ensuring a more holistic development for its students.
The benchmarking visit also reflects RTU’s ongoing efforts to expand international linkages and collaborations, fostering institutional growth and excellence in student affairs and services.
