July 2, 2024 – Rizal Technological University (RTU) Senior High School (SHS) department held its 7th Commencement Exercise at Tanghalang Pasigueno, Pasig City. The momentous event, themed “Kabataang Pilipino Para sa Kinabukasan ng Bagong Pilipinas” was organized by the College of Education headed by  Dr. Wendelyn Samarita, and the Senior High School (SHS) Department led by their Principal, Dr. Millany Averilla.

 Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, the esteemed President of the University, delivered a powerful message of support to the graduates. She extended her heartfelt congratulations to the parents and teachers, acknowledging their unwavering support and dedication to the learners. Dr. Yangco emphasized the importance of adaptability and innovation as the graduates transition from Senior High to the Tertiary level. “The future is bright and filled with limitless possibilities,” she said, urging the graduates to embrace change and maintain a forward-thinking mindset. She concluded her speech with a poignant reminder of the power of unity, stating that the new generation has the potential to propel the Philippines into a new chapter.

The event was further enriched by the presence of honorable guest speaker, Ms. Jan Angelique Maravilla. A licensed psychometrician, teacher, and well-known content creator and review book writer, Ms. Maravilla shared her wisdom and experiences with the graduates. She inspired them with a message of perseverance, emphasizing the importance of trying even in the face of struggles. “Each tomorrow opens up doors of possibilities that will give hope,” she said, encouraging the graduates to remain hopeful and resilient.

The 7th Commencement Exercise of RTU SHS was a celebration of academic accomplishments and a beacon of inspiration and hope for the future. As the graduates proceed on their new journeys, they carry with them the lessons of adaptability, unity, and perseverance imparted by their mentors.
