“An achievement worth recognizing”… this marked the spirit of the Rizal Technological University (RTU) College of Education – Laboratory High School (CEd-LHS) as it held its 2025 Recognition Rites at the Plenary Hall of RTU Mandaluyong Main Campus on June 3, 2025. The event carried the theme, “Henerasyon ng Pagkakaisa: Kaagapay sa Bagong Pilipinas”, celebrating a new generation of learners who embody unity and resilience in shaping the nation’s future.

Students from Grades 7 to 9 were honored for their academic excellence, character, and outstanding achievements throughout the school year. Top performers from each level received recognition, while the atmosphere brimmed with pride from teachers, parents, and peers alike.

CEd Dean Dr. Wendelyn A. Samarita commended the students’ hard work and perseverance in an inspiring welcoming speech, reminding them that this milestone is not just a celebration of the present but a stepping stone to greater accomplishments. 

Special guest speaker and proud RTU-LHS alumna, Ms. Ma. Kryz Anne March S. Pilapil, an entrepreneur and founder of Marka Products PH, delivered a heartfelt and empowering talk on the importance of self-belief and persistence. Drawing from the RTU acronym, she highlighted R for Resilience, commending students for enduring sleepless nights, academic pressure, and personal struggles, yet still standing strong. For T, she spoke about Tenacity and Discipline, reminding them that staying focused amid distractions and finishing strong matters more than how one starts. Lastly, U stands for Uniqueness, as she emphasized that each student is responsible for shaping their own future. She encouraged them to stop comparing themselves to others, step out of their comfort zones, and continue growing into the best versions of themselves.

This ceremony serves as a motivation to the students to strive for greater heights and recognize the value of consistent effort and integrity. More than medals and certificates, the recognition rites stood as a testament to the enduring spirit of young Filipinos dedicated to learning, growth, and nation-building.

As the ceremony concluded, the message rang clear: today’s achievers are tomorrow’s changemakers. And in the heart of RTU-LHS, the seeds of unity, excellence, and hope continue to grow.
