RTU Hosts NPO Enchild Study Tour 2024

June 23, 2024, RTU Main Campus — The Rizal Technological University (RTU) played host to the NPO Enchild Study Tour 2024, marking a significant celebration of Enchild’s 20th founding anniversary. The event gathered distinguished guests, faculty, students, international sponsors, scholars, and their families to honor this milestone.

The program began with a special performance by RTU Himig Rizalia, setting a reverent and celebratory tone. Dr. Mark Joseph Santos, Director of the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IHK), delivered the welcome remarks. Instr. Donato Z. Estocada, Director of the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), followed with a message of appreciation, acknowledging the enduring partnership between RTU and Enchild.

Messages of support from Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, VP for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA), and Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, University President, highlighted the significance of this collaboration. Dr. Yangco particularly noted the valuable contributions of NPO Enchild to the university’s global engagement initiatives.

Another key highlight of the event was the introduction of Japanese sponsors visiting the Philippines. Asst. Prof. John Eric Estrellado, Director of UPAO, delivered an inspirational message, followed by an Enchild video presentation that visually narrated the two-decade journey and its impact on students’ lives.

Mr. Takanori Todate, Chairman of NPO Enchild, engaged the audience with a segment titled “Chikachats,” fostering a conversational and interactive atmosphere. The ceremonial toast symbolized the commitment to continue this fruitful partnership. The event also featured special performances by Japanese sponsors and RTU Kultura Rizalia, adding to the festive mood. An interactive activity with Enchild beneficiaries highlighted the program’s outreach and engagement efforts.

Certificates were awarded to recognize the contributions of various participants, followed by a message of gratitude from Enchild scholars, expressing their appreciation for the support and opportunities provided.
