RTU Explores Partnership Opportunities in a Collaborative Meeting with the PH Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation

October 21, 2024 – In an effort to explore and create collaboration possibilities and opportunities, a productive collaborative meeting between select Rizal Technological University (RTU) officials and the Philippine Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation and Principality of Liechtenstein was held in the Research Development and Innovation Office Conference Room.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA); Mr. Donato Z. Estocada, International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO) Director; Dr. Ryan D. Guido, Research Development and Innovation Office (RDIO) Director; Instr. Cheryl Lyn C. Ayuste, RDIO Associate Director; Mr. Victor Antonio Lim from the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (OVPRIES); and Mr. Fortunato Dela Peña, the Former Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary, Academician at the Science and Technology Planning, Program, and Policy (ST3P) Office, and University Consultant of RTU, who met with the esteemed guests, including Mr. Bernard F. Dy, Philippine Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation and Principality of Liechtenstein; Mr. Gary Cayton from Dynamic Outsource Solution; and  Mr. Richard Gomez, Chair and founder of Bauertek Farmaceutical Technologies.

The discussions, led by Mr. Dela Peña, revolved around the many possibilities of partnerships between RTU and the organizations represented by the guests, which included international mobility for RTU students, faculty, and staff in Switzerland, internship and employment opportunities for students in the field of technology, and possibilities for collaborative research and innovative ideas for scientific development. By the end of the meeting, each side expressed their eagerness and enthusiasm to forge meaningful collaborations between the universities and their respective organizations.

As part of RTU’s commitment to academic excellence and sustainable development, fostering these partnerships and external connections is expected to bring about more exciting opportunities to equip the students with quality training and for the RTUians’ scientific excellence to shine even more.
