RTU CBEA Renews Partnership with Sangguniang Kabataan of Western Bicutan for SAGIP KART Extension Program

Rizal Technological University (RTU) College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA) has renewed its partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Western Bicutan to implement the SAGIP KART Extension Program last December 7, 2024. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed at the Barangay Hall of Western Bicutan, signaling a shared commitment to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth.

The RTU team, led by Instr. Donato Z. Estocada played an important role in forging this partnership. Joining him were esteemed colleagues, Instr.  Aldren Delos Reyes, Instr. Christian Mendoza, and Instr. Jerzon Perez, who collectively contributed to the program’s vision and execution.

Following the MOU signing, Instr. Estocada conducted a seminar and training session focused on entrepreneurship, targeting food cart beneficiaries from local youth organizations. The training aimed to equip the participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate their food carts effectively, providing them with an avenue to explore business opportunities and foster economic growth within their community.

The SAGIP KART Extension Program is designed to empower youth organizations by offering them access to food carts, enabling them to kickstart entrepreneurial ventures. This initiative aligns with RTU’s commitment to community engagement and the SK’s mission to uplift the youth of Western Bicutan.

Through this partnership, RTU and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Western Bicutan are paving the way for sustainable development, showcasing the transformative power of collaboration in driving social impact.
