The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) successfully concluded its 4th Executive Board Meeting and Year-End Gathering on December 3, 2024, at the Muralla Ballroom, Bayleaf Hotel, Intramuros, Manila. The event, led by Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, President of Batangas State University and PASUC National President, brought together leaders of state universities and colleges (SUCs) across the country to discuss essential matters in higher education.

Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, President of Rizal Technological University (RTU), actively participated in the meeting, highlighting RTU’s commitment to advancing the goals of PASUC.

A significant part of the agenda focused on updates from the Department of Budget Management (DBM) regarding Phase 2 of the Revised Organizational Structure and Staffing Standards for SUCs (ROSSS). Mr. Gerald R. Janda, Director of DBM’s Organization, Position Classification, and Compensation Bureau (OPCCB), provided crucial insights into the ongoing implementation and improvements under ROSSS Phase 2, emphasizing its impact on streamlining organizational structures and enhancing compensation frameworks within state educational institutions.

The gathering served as a platform for collaborative discussions and strategic planning, aiming to strengthen the operational efficiency and academic excellence of SUCs nationwide. The event also fostered leaders’ camaraderie and reinforced PASUC’s commitment to quality education and institutional development.
