
Pasig City, Philippines — Faculty members from the College of Education (CEd) of Rizal Technological University (RTU) showcased their research studies at the 30th Annual Conference of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), held on May 22, 2025, at Chardonnay by Astoria.
The conference, which brought together academic professionals and researchers from across Asia and the Pacific, featured research presentations from several RTU-CEd faculty members, highlighting the university’s commitment to educational advancement and scholarly engagement.
Assoc. Prof. Lyka D. Lamoste presented her study with Dr. Julius L. Meneses titled “Exploring AI Literacy and Perception of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Academic Research Among Science Education Students”, while Instr. Samuel A. Balbin contributed with their work “Greening the Future: Development and Validation of a Comprehensive Scale for Sustainability Practices at Rizal Technological University, Philippines,” along with Dr. Rizaldy E. Garcia, Dr. Magno M. Quendangan, Dr. Faith Micah Abenes-Balbin and Dr. Irene C. Gumiran (co-authors).
Dr. Melvin Ambida shared insights from their research “Expectation versus Reality: The Dunning-Kruger Effect Among Bachelor of Science in Education – Social Science Students,” with co-authors; Assoc Prof. Roberto Martin Sing and Instr. Balbin.
Dr. Nilmar I. Moreno, together with co-author Dr. Meneses, presented “Exploring Innovation Landscapes: Inputs to Innovation Ecosystem Model Development,” exploring pathways for educational innovation.
Assoc. Prof. Romelyn Zipagan-Callueng, along with Dr. Moreno, also shared their collaborative study “Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) as Predictors of Higher Education Faculty Members’ Productivity.”
The participation of RTU faculty at this prestigious conference attracted interest from local and international institutions, paving the way for future research collaborations and academic partnerships.
