Araw ng Pagkilala 2025: RTU Senior High School Department Celebrates Last Batch’s Accomplishments During This Year’s Recognition Rites

Rizal Technological University (RTU) celebrated the culmination of the hard work and dedication of the graduating students from College of Education-Laboratory School’s (CEd-LS) Senior High School Department at this year’s recognition ceremony at the Plenary Hall of Mandaluyong Main Campus on June 23, 2025. 

Dr. Wendelyn Samarita, Dean of the College of Education, opened the ceremony with an inspiring message, encouraging students to embrace the teachings of Pandayang Rizalia as their guide through the challenges and new experiences that lie ahead. University President Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco followed with her warm message of congratulations to the students, as she also wished the proud Rizalianos luck as they close this chapter of their lives and embark on a new segment of their journeys.

To further inspire the students in the special day of their accomplishments, Ms. Audrey Servillon, a 2018 alumnus of RTU-SHS herself, shared how teamwork and unity had significantly affected her life as a student in RTU. Helping and being helped is a powerful tool that will aid anyone wherever life may bring them, according to her, echoing the central theme of the event.

Under the national theme “Generation of Unity: Partners for the New Philippines”, Rizalianos proved what it means to embody the ideals and excellence of Pandayang Rizalia. From Outstanding Academic Performance Awards to discipline-specific awards for exemplary performance, certificates, and medals were given to commemorate the achievements of every student who have proven themselves as Rizalianos of multi-talented excellence.

An outstanding number of 275 Rizalianos in SHS are set to mark the end of their secondary education on June 24, 2025, and RTU stands proud to have been a part of their academic journey. The teachings of Pandayang Rizalia have forged their path towards success, and will continue cheering for them for what lies ahead. The university wishes these Rizalianos well, and hopes to remain a part of their success as they continue to strive for excellence.
