Rizal Technological University (RTU) proudly served as one of the co-host institutions of the 7th International Research Conference on Innovations in Engineering, Science, and Technology (IRCIEST), organized by Batangas State University: The National Engineering University (BatStateU). The event was held from October 22 to 24, 2025, at the BatStateU Main Campus, Batangas City.
With the theme “Engineering the Future: Transformative Research for Global Advancement,” the 7th IRCIEST gathered researchers, educators, industry professionals, and students from across the country and around the world to explore innovative solutions, technologies, and approaches that drive transformation in the fields of engineering, science, and technology. The conference aimed to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, foster global research partnerships, and promote research that contributes to sustainable development and societal advancement.
RTU’s participation was led by Dr. Magno M. Quendangan, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (VPRIES), who served as Head of the Delegation. Asst. Prof. John Eric O. Estrellado, Director of the Research, Development, and Innovation Office (RDIO), served as a moderator for the parallel session. Dr. Ryan Manuel D. Guido, Head of the Data Science and Smart Analytics Research Unit, participated as Parallel Session Chair and Paper Presenter. Instr. Cheryl Lyn C. Ayuste, Deputy Director of the RDIO, also served as Parallel Session Moderator, while Instr. Jason B. Kalaw, Head of the RTU Center for Astronomy Research and Development (CARD), took part as Paper Presenter.
Among the featured RTU research presentations were “Decoding Southeast Asia’s Research Output: A Machine Learning-Driven Foresight Analysis of Research Trends” by Dr. Ryan Manuel D. Guido, and “Scientometric Analysis of Research on Sustainable Cities and Communities: Monitoring Research Progress Toward SDG 11” by Instr. Jason B. Kalaw, Dr. Ryan Manuel D. Guido, Instr. Gian Paulo A. Santos and Franchette Amabelle G. Castillon.
Through its role as co-host, Pandayang Rizalia reaffirms its commitment to fostering research excellence and innovation that respond to the evolving needs of society. The university’s strong representation at the 7th IRCIEST underscores its dedication to advancing transformative and globally relevant research in partnership with leading higher education institutions across the region and beyond.
