RTU Evaluates Institutional Accomplishments through the Mid-Year Performance Review and Tactical Planning in Bataan

BATAAN, Philippines – Rizal Technological University (RTU) has commenced its comprehensive Mid-Year Performance Review and Tactical Planning for Fiscal Years 2026-2027, bringing together key officials and stakeholders at Puntabelle Nature’s Resort & Farm Adventure. The intensive four-day session, which began on July 15, 2025, aims to assess current achievements, strategize future initiatives, and align institutional goals with national priorities.

The event, led by the University President, Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, saw a robust attendance from the Office of the President (OP), Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration (OVPFA), Office of the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (OVPASA), Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (OVPRIES), and the Office of the Vice President for Planning, Quality Assurance and Strategic Initiatives (OVPPQASI), along with the officials of the Pasig Branch and representatives from the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and Faculty Unions AFCI and ASAP.

The gathering’s agenda focused on a thorough review of the first and second-quarter accomplishments of Pandayang Rizalia. Presentations highlighted the progress made on GAA (General Appropriations Act) enrolled targets across key programs, including Higher Education, Advanced Education, Research, and Extension. This was followed by a detailed presentation of Q1 and Q2 accomplishments of the Higher Commitment Form (OPCR) from the various Vice Presidential offices and the Office of the President including the Pasig Branch.

The meticulous examination of performance data underscores RTU’s commitment to accountability and continuous improvement. The insights gained from Day 1’s reviews will serve as a crucial foundation for the subsequent days of planning.

The succeeding days of the strategic gathering delved into RTU’s Internationalization Roadmap, Gender and Development (GAD) Mainstreaming, and the crucial tactical plans for FY 2026 and 2027. These plans are designed to be aligned with both priority programs of the government and established RTU policies. Discussions also covered documentary requirements for budget proposals and allocations, culminating in the presentation and critiquing of the FY 2026-2027 Tactical Plans and Budget, and an environmental scanning session on the final day.
