Rizalianos Showcase Developmental Research on Developed Urban-Agri Structures Efficiency at 38th RSRDEH

Representatives from Rizal Technological University (RTU) proudly presented their developmental research titled “Efficiency of the RTU-Developed Planting Structures on the Growth and Yield of Selected Leafy Vegetables” during the 38th Regional Symposium on Research, Development, and Extension Highlights (RSRDEH) held on October 27, 2025, at De La Salle University–Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The presentation was delivered by Mr. Norberto R. Bautista, representing the Urban Agriculture Research and Development Unit. The study focuses on enhancing urban agriculture practices through innovative planting structures designed to optimize the growth and productivity of various leafy vegetables.

The symposium formed part of the 3rd Regional Research and Innovation Week (RRIW) with the theme “Sustaining Partnerships: Driving Collaborative Innovations for a Resilient AANR Future.” The event was organized by the Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic, and Resources Research, Development, and Extension Consortium (STAARRDEC).

The research team behind the study includes Alexander B. Quilang, Jovita A. Anit, Norberto R. Bautista, John Oliver P. Distor, and Edilberto I. Perez. Their collaborative work underscores RTU’s commitment to advancing agricultural innovation and sustainability through science-based solutions for food security and environmental resilience.
