Visiting Professors from India Shared Research and Technical Expertise with Rizalianos at Project iTeachGlobal

The International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO) of Rizal Technological University (RTU) organized another event that forged a new bridge for knowledge sharing and academic exchange, giving Rizalianos—both students and faculty members—an opportunity to learn from visiting professors from India. The event is part of the office’s Project iTeachGlobal, which aims to create more opportunities for academic exchange by inviting visiting professors from international universities.

The event, held on June 10, 2026, was divided into two simultaneous sessions: one for faculty members and students from the College of Engineering, and the other for students from the RTU Laboratory School. Each session featured three visiting professors who eagerly shared their expertise both in research and digital tools for education.

On the faculty side, Dr. Vinita Malik started the series of discussions with her topic, “Finding a Suitable Journal for Publishing Research Papers.” She outlined the pathway to publication, listing the steps toward securing journal publication that can elevate the visibility of research in their discipline and research areas.

She was followed by Dr. Pooja Nanda, who discussed Managerial Decision Making in the Age of Data. She expertly shared research-based knowledge on how to align decision-making with scientific data, elevating RTU employees’ ability to make research-based decisions in leading the university towards its goals.

Dr. Ajay Kumar Bansal followed her lecture with his own, speaking about Engineering Advancements in Electric Vehicles—a highly relevant topic for the participating engineering students. He shared the latest research milestones in electric vehicle development, masterfully dissecting and explaining the advancements to the participants.

The session for Laboratory School students featured a different set of experts, including Dr. Sandhya Rai, Dr. Nitin Goyal, and Dr. Santosh Bhukal.

Dr. Rai gave a lecture on Analytics and Machine Learning, sharing insights and updates on the use of Artificial Intelligence in education, deep learning and neural networks, and the ethical use of AI. Her discussions proved deeply relevant as students’ use of AI for assignments and other schoolwork has increased drastically in recent years.

Her lecture was followed by Dr. Goyal’s discussion of Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks. By explaining how wireless sensor networks work and outlining their role in underwater navigation and communication, Dr. Goyal delivered an inspiring discussion that ignited interest among junior high school students.

Building on his momentum, Dr. Bhukal also shared her knowledge on the Role of Nanotechnology in Engineering, adding another attention-grabbing discourse to the event. Her lecture clarified the concept of nanotechnology and provided relevant examples of its applications in engineering.

The discussions given by the visiting professors for the iTeachGlobal enhanced the Rizalianos’ understanding of technological advancements and research-related digital tools. Through the initiative, the participating Rizalianos had the opportunity to explore technological tools to enhance learning and research.

As a step towards its vision of becoming a transnational university, RTU continues to create meaningful international collaborations and partnerships that enhance the Rizaliano community’s learning experience. Assoc. Prof. Estocada also shared that more similar events will be conducted soon for Rizalianos to enjoy.
