A University delegation participated in the 2026 Global Education and Healthcare Partners China Convention held in Shenzhen, China, from June 1 to 5, 2026. Organized by Huawei, the international event brought together education and healthcare leaders to explore emerging technologies and innovative digital transformation strategies.
The delegation was composed of Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, Vice President for Finance and Administration; Assoc. Prof. Donato Z. Estocada, Director for the International Affairs and Linkages Office; AO. Ian Oliver Moscardo, Director for the Procurement Management Office, and IT Officer Kyle Nicole Alcantara, Director for the Management Information System Office. Their participation and presence in the convention highlight RTU’s eagerness to integrate technological advancements to support Rizaliano excellence.
The convention showcased Huawei’s latest advancements in network infrastructure, enterprise storage solutions, digital classrooms, collaborative learning environments, and intelligent training facilities. A key highlight of the event was the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into education and healthcare, demonstrating how AI-powered technologies can enhance teaching and learning, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making in academic and healthcare institutions.
As part of the convention, participants visited leading universities in China as well as Huawei’s Headquarters and Research and Development (R&D) Campus to observe the practical application of advanced technologies in smart campuses and digital ecosystems. The experience provided valuable insights into global best practices and emerging innovations that can support the University’s ongoing efforts toward digital transformation, institutional excellence, and the development of a future-ready learning environment.
By participating in conventions featuring up-to-date technology in education and healthcare, RTU officials gain opportunities to explore innovations that could be integrated into the University’s existing academic framework, significantly boosting its capacity to produce learners with the competence and skills to compete globally.
