Rizal Technological University (RTU) entered a new partnership to strengthen access to life-saving healthcare, signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Blood Center (PBC) on February 23, 2026.
The event was held at the PBC office in Quezon City, bringing together key officials from both institutions to formalize their commitment to strengthening blood donation initiatives nationwide. RTU was represented by the University President, Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, and Asst. Prof. Ricardo H. Momongan Jr, Director of the Extension and Community Services Office.
The collaboration aims to strengthen efforts to organize blood donation drives, raise awareness of the importance of blood donation, and provide much-needed blood services to communities. Under the agreement, RTU will actively engage its students and faculty in such initiatives and encourage participation in outreach programs that save lives.
This partnership reflects RTU’s dedication to fostering social responsibility among its community and providing opportunities for meaningful engagement with causes that impact public health. With both institutions working together, the MOA signing marks a new chapter in their shared mission to improve the accessibility and sustainability of blood donations in the Philippines.
