The Board engaged in comprehensive deliberations across critical areas of university governance, including financial and fiscal management, administrative policies, academic program development, and legal compliance. Discussions emphasized RTU’s strategic initiatives in institutional strengthening, program innovation, personnel welfare, and adherence to regulatory standards set by CHED and other governing bodies.
A significant highlight of the meeting was the Board’s commendation of RTU’s Proposed Internationalization Strategic Plan for 2025–2028. The plan outlines the University’s roadmap for expanding global partnerships, enhancing cross-border academic collaborations, and positioning RTU as a competitive player in international higher education. The Board recognized the plan’s quality, strategic direction, and alignment with national and international education frameworks.
The President’s Report, presented by Dr. Yangco, showcased substantial achievements across key performance areas, including instruction, research, extension services, resource management, and international engagement. The report demonstrated measurable progress in elevating RTU’s academic reputation, fostering industry partnerships, and advancing the institution’s vision, as embodied in “Pandayang Rizalia,” the University’s strategic framework for becoming a smart, transnational, and future-ready institution.
The hybrid format of the meeting facilitated seamless participation from various university officials and presenters, ensuring that deliberations were thorough, evidence-based, and inclusive. This approach reflects RTU’s commitment to transparent governance and stakeholder engagement in institutional decision-making.
The Board reaffirmed its dedication to steering the University toward its strategic objectives while maintaining momentum in academic excellence, operational efficiency, and community engagement. As RTU continues its transformation into a globally competitive technological university, the Board’s guidance remains instrumental in navigating the challenges and opportunities of 21st-century higher education.
