CBEA Recalibrates College Direction Towards RTU’s Institutional Goals

The College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA) gathered its leaders to shift the college’s direction towards the realization of Rizal Technological University’s (RTU) recently set institutional goals. This institutional strengthening and realignment were carried out through the college’s 2025 Tactical Planning, held on November 12-14, 2025, at the Upgrade Beach Resort in Infanta, Quezon.

Under the guidance of their Dean, Dr. Rome Sherriff Montoya, the leaders and Program Heads of CBEA reviewed the college’s and the departments’ performance for Academic Year 2025, aiming to resolve challenges and address academic issues. Accomplishments were also highlighted, highlighting the positive effects CBEA has had on its students’ educational journey.

The college also took the opportunity to review its institutional capacity. A SWOT Analysis was conducted and presented to provide program heads with an overview of the college’s status quo. A comprehensive report on budget utilization and procurement status was also presented, outlining the current progress of the college’s financial resource administration.

The gathering moved towards its true purpose: the planning for the next academic year. The College Dean led the presentation of the proposed Budget Allocations for 2026 and the Tactical Plan, which addresses challenges in Curriculum, Research, Community Engagements, Student Services, and Faculty Development. The various Program Heads followed him with their own Department-level presentations, which focused on curriculum revisions, stakeholder consultation, and the identification of curriculum changes. This part of the planning aims to provide in-depth preparation for the next academic year based on current faculty observations.

CBEA concluded their three-day activity with an open forum where they addressed clarifications and concerns, fostering an exchange of wisdom and collective commitment towards institutional improvements. This led to the finalization of agreements, showing a unified approach to institutional challenges moving forward.

As the education sector continues to change in response to societal needs, the pillars of RTU remain focused on addressing students’ needs and developing high-quality curricula. CBEA’s tactical planning exemplifies the University’s eagerness to improve the quality of education further.
