Life on Land: RTU supports initiatives to preserve terrestrial ecosystems and promote sustainable land use.

The University regularly conducts tree-planting activities through its NSTP Program and supports other organizations’ tree-planting initiatives. RTU aims to end desertification to ensure the conservation of its terrestrial ecosystem and restore the natural habitats of local animal species, especially on its Baras grounds.

RTU’s proactive tree-planting initiatives are aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and biodiversity. These tree-planting activities are integral to RTU’s efforts to combat deforestation, enhance urban green spaces, and mitigate the effects of climate change. By involving students, faculty, and community members in these initiatives, RTU fosters a sense of environmental stewardship and raises awareness about the critical importance of preserving terrestrial ecosystems. The trees planted serve multiple ecological functions, including improving air quality, conserving soil, and providing habitats for various species, thereby contributing to the overall health of local ecosystems. Furthermore, these initiatives are aligned with national reforestation efforts, reinforcing the university’s commitment to sustainability and responsible land management. Through its tree planting programs, RTU not only enhances the campus environment but also plays a vital role in promoting the conservation of life on land for current and future generations.
