VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur – Rizal Technological University (RTU) conducted its Institutional Planning for Fiscal Year 2026 from November 4-7, 2025, at Hotel Luna in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, with the theme “Strategic Alignment for Sustainable Development and Quality Education.”
The three-day planning session brought together university administrators and key personnel to align institutional goals with national development targets and quality assurance standards.
Dr. Salvacion J. Pachejo, VPPQASI, led the opening program on November 5, which featured welcome remarks from Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco and the message of the University President. The program included the FY 2025 Institutional Performance Report presented by PO Director Ella Aragon, and a comprehensive review of the university’s physical and financial accomplishments by CAOF Rowell Marasigan (FMSO) and AO Ian Oliver Moscardo (HPMO).
Key presentations focused on addressing unmet targets through workshops and strategic planning sessions. The agenda covered critical areas including the 2026 Internationalization Plans and Initiatives, SDGs Plans and Programs, GSDO Plans and Programs, and Quality Assurance Office Plans for 2025.
This institutional planning conference marks a pivotal moment in RTU Mandaluyong’s trajectory toward academic excellence and organizational sustainability. By systematically addressing performance gaps and forging consensus on priority infrastructure projects and internationalization initiatives, the university leadership has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to quality education and sustainable development. The collaborative framework established during these sessions positions RTU to meet the evolving demands of higher education while maintaining its mission to serve as a catalyst for technological advancement and nation-building in the years ahead.
