RTU Hosts Marinduque State University’s Exploratory Visit for Academic Collaboration

March 26, 2025 – Rizal Technological University (RTU) welcomed a delegation from Marinduque State University (MarSU) led by its University President, Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta, in an exploratory visit aimed at fostering academic collaboration and innovation.

The visit, held at the RTU Mandaluyong Main Campus, served as a platform for strengthening institutional ties. RTU’s Vice President for Finance and Administration, Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, and Vice President for Planning, Quality Assurance, and Strategic Initiatives, Dr. Salvacion J. Pachejo, formally received the MarSU delegation, setting the stage for productive discussions.

Kicking off the program, RTU’s Kultura Rizalia showcased a cultural performance, providing a warm welcome to the visitors. Dr. Ducut underscored the significance of benchmarking activities in advancing institutional growth and quality education. 

In his address, Dr. Zulueta emphasized the necessity of partnerships in adapting to the evolving landscape of higher education. The visit was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between RTU and MarSU, solidifying their commitment to academic cooperation and mutual development.

RTU officials also delivered presentations on various institutional initiatives. Admin Officer, Ms. Malou Austria, Director of RTU Quality Assurance Office (QAO) elaborated the university’s quality standards journey, while Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) Director, Instr. Emmanuel Taruc, detailed RTU’s proactive disaster preparedness strategies. International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO) Director, Instr. Donne Estocada, highlighted RTU’s global engagements and potential opportunities for international collaboration.

To conclude the visit, RTU awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Dr. Zulueta in recognition of his leadership and commitment to higher education collaboration. Dr. Pachejo, in her closing remarks, reaffirmed RTU’s dedication to strengthening inter-university partnerships for academic excellence and innovation.
